Ballet

Creative Dance
A form of dance that provides the potential for personal expression communicating through movement. It enhances physical fitness including strength, flexibility, improve social skills such as self-esteem, communication and working with others. It also improves well being and reduces stress and anxiety.
Modern Dance
Focus on internal feelings. It's a form of technique for developing the use of the entire body in movements expressive abstract ideas.
Jazz
Any various dances characterized by the use of improvisation and influenced by rhythms and techniques of jazz music.
HipHop
A fun and energetic style of dance. It involves quick detailed movements.
Lyrical Dance
A form of dance that combines ballet with jazz. It is similar to contemporary dance.
Contemporary
It has the same styles and movements as ballet, but does not confine themselves to those moves that seek the dancers' personalized vision often through collaboration and experimentation by the development of new moves and choreography.
African Dance
Dance which embraces movement, spirituality and unity.
Tumbling
Dance that involves cartwheels, front and back walkovers, hand springs, rolling over, etc.
Tap Dance
A style of dance characterized by using the sound of one's tap shoes hitting the floor as a percussive instrument. It's all a form of music.
